Title : Made In Germany - A Celebration of Burger Highlife Date : April 21, 2007 Time : 08:00 PM Venue : National Theatre Accra (entrance fee: 50.000 Cedis) Description : The project is culminating in a major concert celebrating Burger Highlife and showcasing the culture of the period, the ways in which people dressed, played music and danced.
The main act will showcase Burger and Highlife greats from Ghana and Germany such as George Darko, Charles Amoah, Bob Fiscian, McGod and Pat Thomas. The Lumba Brothers (Daddy Lumba & Nana Acheampong) will start the ball rolling with influences from the period and Akyeame (Okyeame Kwame & Kofi), two well known Hiplife musicians, will present a hiplife creation of Burger Highlife.
The concert will be live with audio and visual effects that will enhance it and recorded material which will become part of the backdrop. Pre-production of the sounds and sights is being created by Zapp Mallet.
Audiences will be asked to come dressed up in period clothes and prizes will be given to the most originally dressed persons.
The event will be followed up by a second Concert in Kumasi, Cultural Center, Saturday 28th April, 2007 (entrance fee: 50.000 Cedis for couples).
